New Feature: University Entrance Exams Mock Tests (EBAU/EvAU)
And we’re back with more updates for Spain! To complement our LOMLOE support, today we announce the launch of our support for the university access system in Spain: the EBAU (or EvAU, depending on the Autonomous Community).
The 2nd Year of Bachillerato Bottleneck
The final year of Bachillerato is a long-distance race. Teachers of Spanish Language and Literature, History, and Foreign Language face enormous volumes of mock exams (text commentaries, 250-word essays, summaries). Manual grading time drastically limits the amount of feedback students receive before the actual exam.
Standardized Regional Criteria in ColabEdu
The greatest difficulty of the EBAU is regional fragmentation: rubrics change by Autonomous Community.
-
Regional Taxonomies (C0): Our directory hierarchy in
ce-specssupports the override of properties at country and regional level (loc.es,loc.es-madrid,loc.es-andalucia). If a school is in Madrid, the system will automatically load the Grading Criteria of the Autonomous University of Madrid (for example, deducting exactly 0.25 points for a spelling mistake, according to the annual scale). -
UI Interactivity (C1): The “Learning Gym” (
app.colabedu.net) allows students to input texts with strict time limits (locked timer), replicating the pressure of the actual exam. -
Deterministic Inference (C3): Through the
SpecManagercomponent, the AI acts as the most stringent university grader, generating detailed reports that separate the structural plane (coherence, cohesion) from the orthotypographical plane (spelling mistakes, accent marks).
